So I took Gerrit to Toys-R-Us today to look for a motorcycle that he can ride on, we found several to choose from and he was in motorcycle lover heaven! We go back to the isle that has the big -huge-a-seventeen-year-old-could-drive cars and trucks, you know the power wheel ones. There are all sorts of vehicles, real manly ones, the isle was oozing testosterone, with the hunting 4-wheeler, the black Cadillac escalade, the John Deer tractor, the Harley Davidson, only the manliest of men should even try to ride these! So I'm thinking in my head that Gerrit is just going to die in this isle, he is going to think I am just the coolest mom in the world for bringing him here, heck he might even spontaneously start talking! So I pick him up and plunk him down on the "Hog" he throws a fit and wants to get off, so then I put him on the hunting 4-wheeler then I realize he must be either a vegetarian or work for PETA cuz he didn't want to be on there either. So I thought, alright I'll let him choose what "ride"he wants to unleash his manliness-in-the-making on. My friends...do you know what that kid ran to???? The bright pink Barbie Cadillac Escalade. Now should I be worried, or is it that my son is soooo full of manliness that he can pull off driving the pink Barbie truck, I think I'll go with the later!!!

You went to an isle? Like an island? I'm sure they have Toys R Us' locally :)
If Gerrit needs a pink Barbie Jeep fix...you are more than welcome to come ride ours anytime or when you get off the isle :)
ROFL Tiff thats classic.
This would be Rex. He'll play Barbie with the neighbor girls for hours (although he uses animals while they use dolls, but his animals do socialize with all the girls).
Too funny!
Don't you love it when kids do what you don't expect :)
By the way, I love the part about you hoping he would spontaneously start talking!
Don't worry Tiff... Lara's son, Nathan, has to sleep with his barbies still. They go everywhere with him :) I think it just shows how MUCH these boys like girls.
Garrit's a darn cute little boy. I bet he looks good in pink! Don't worry, Spencer had a baby doll that he clung to along with his blanky until he was about 3 and look at him now! A manly man in the marines!
